Fortnite Adding The Simpsons Should’ve Happened Years Ago

It’s that time of year again — Halloween is here, and with it arrives Fortnite’s annual spooky spectacular: Fortnitemares. This year’s celebration is shaping up to be one of the best yet, with cosmetics inspired by iconic horror franchises ranging from Friday the 13th and Terrifier, to Poppy Playtime, Scream, R.E.P.O., and even Scooby-Doo.

We’re already spoiled for choice this Halloween, but thanks to a fresh leak, November might have something even bigger — and for longtime fans of animation, it’s huge.
The Simpsons Finally Join Fortnite

After years of speculation, The Simpsons are reportedly gearing up for their Fortnite debut. This crossover has been whispered about for ages, but never confirmed — until now. Fortnite has already welcomed the likes of King of the Hill, Bob’s Burgers, and Family Guy, but with Disney now holding a stake in Epic Games, many wondered when Springfield’s most famous family would catch the Battle Bus.

How They’re Being Added

Reliable Fortnite leaker HypeX recently shared a screenshot featuring a Kang and Kodos glider, paired with the caption: “Can you believe it, Kodos? They left us out of the Battle Pass.”

If Kang says it, I’m inclined to believe it. According to HypeX, The Simpsons will star in a month-long mini Battle Pass launching November 1, just ahead of Chapter 7’s start on November 30.

Mini passes have become a fan-favorite addition to Fortnite, previously bringing characters like Shredder (TMNT), Avatar State Aang (Avatar: The Last Airbender), and skeletal Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbean) to the game.
What Might Be Included

Past mini passes have typically featured a single premium skin alongside themed cosmetics and emotes. It’s almost certain Homer Simpson will take center stage, though Bart and Lisa joining the fray seems unlikely — Disney probably isn’t keen on arming child characters in Fortnite.

From there, possibilities are endless:

  • A Homer “backing into the bushes” emote
  • A Jam Track of the show’s theme or songs from The Simpsons Sing The Blues
  • Maggie as a back bling
  • Unique pickaxes inspired by Springfield’s quirks

Personally, the dream item would be a wrap styled after the family’s beat-up pink sedan — dented, cel-shaded, and perfect for cruising Fortnite’s map. Fortnite’s vehicle wraps have been a standout cosmetic trend lately, and a Simpsons sedan could rival fan favorites like Knight Rider’s K.I.T.T..
Why Now?

It’s surprising this hasn’t happened sooner. Disney’s 2023 acquisition of a nine percent stake in Epic Games was expected to lead to major crossovers across its entertainment portfolio, and this could be the clearest sign yet of that vision coming together.

We’ve already seen Disney properties such as The Incredibles, Pirates of the Caribbean, and classic villains joining Fortnite’s roster — alongside Marvel and Star Wars content. Adding The Simpsons feels like the perfect next step.

Given its record-breaking run since 1989, and its deep influence on modern comedy and pop culture, The Simpsons is arguably the most iconic animated show ever made. Epic Games now has a rare opportunity to bring it to life in ways that honor fans, both old and new.
A Missed Fortnitemares Opportunity?

If there’s one puzzle here, it’s why Epic waited until November instead of tying this in with Treehouse of Horror during Fortnitemares. Imagine Halloween skins inspired by the show’s scariest episodes and gags — it would have been legendary.

Still, if done right, this mini pass could be something truly special. Epic, the ball’s in your court — we’re ready for donuts, Duff beer references, and one glorious, dented pink car wrap.
