Buried deep inside iOS 26 is a powerful feature that quietly tracks every call you’ve ever had with a specific contact—potentially going back years. Most iPhone users don’t realize it exists, but you can access this detailed call history in just a few taps.
This extended view can be incredibly useful when you need to recall the last time you spoke with someone or confirm how long a conversation lasted. Here’s how to find it.
How to Access the Extended Call History
- Open the Phone app on your iPhone.
- In the Unified view, go to the Recents tab and find the contact whose complete call history you want to see.
- Tap the contact’s name.
- If you’re using the Classic interface, tap the circled i icon next to their name instead.
- Scroll down and select Call History.
You’ll now see a full chronological list of every incoming, outgoing, and missed call with that contact, complete with the date, time, and duration of each call. Depending on your device’s data retention, this record can stretch back months—or even years—offering a surprisingly deep look at your communication history.
