That game is Bully, the 2006 action-adventure title that captured players with its witty writing, mischievous tone, and nostalgic schoolyard setting.

Set in the fictional town of Bullworth, Bully follows Jimmy Hopkins, a rebellious teenager sent to Bullworth Academy for a year. As Jimmy, players navigate the ups and downs of school life—standing up to bullies, attending classes, pulling pranks, and rising through the school’s complex social hierarchy.
Released in 2006 for the PlayStation 2, Bully was praised for its originality and humor, though it stirred some early controversy due to its themes. Since then, it has seen several re-releases, maintaining a devoted fan base nearly two decades later.
“Bully Online” — A Fan-Made Revival
While Rockstar has yet to announce an official remaster or sequel, a group of dedicated fans has stepped up to fill the void. According to a recent post from SWEGTA, a prominent Bully and Rockstar-focused content creator, Bully Online is officially in the works.
SWEGTA announced on Twitter:
“After years of development, I’m glad to finally announce that BULLY ONLINE is happening! Minigames, roleplay, freeroam, and a ton of exclusive content — made by fans, for the fans. We’ll be unveiling the trailer and some gameplay soon. Canis Canem Edit!”
Though not an official Rockstar project, Bully Online promises to give players a fresh reason to revisit Bullworth, complete with new modes, expanded content, and the joys of multiplayer roleplay.
Fans React With Excitement
The newly revealed trailer showcases glimpses of gameplay, minigames, and the revamped open-world experience, instantly igniting excitement within the community.
