From Double Fine’s surreal, wordless adventures to retro-inspired horror shooters, high-octane racing sims, and inventive roguelites, the week of October 13–19 is one of the most packed periods for Xbox releases this year.
As October marches on, the Xbox Store is getting another wave of fresh titles. The standout this week is Keeper, the latest first-party release from Xbox Game Studios. Developed by the award-winning Double Fine Productions, Keeper is a heartfelt tale about an unlikely friendship between a walking lighthouse and a spirited seabird. Told entirely without dialogue, it’s a visual and emotional journey, brought to life with Double Fine’s distinct artistic flair. Like all Xbox first-party titles, Keeper launches straight into Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, while retailing for just $30 — well below most new release prices.
Also arriving is Blood West, a macabre retro-styled FPS from New Blood Interactive. Set in the “Weird West” and infused with eldritch horror, it weaves immersive stealth gameplay with grim storytelling, finally making its way to consoles after winning fans on PC.
And those are just the headliners — this is a week stacked with variety. From cozy puzzles and underwater adventures to intense space shooters and nostalgic platformers, there’s something here for just about every kind of player.
