Remedy Entertainment has announced that Control: Ultimate Edition will arrive on the iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro in early 2026. Players will be able to “tap into the action with touch controls,” according to the developer, which likely includes gesture and hand-tracking support for Apple’s mixed reality headset. Controller support will also be available for those who prefer traditional gameplay.
This marks another expansion of Control into the Apple ecosystem following its Mac release in February 2025.
Originally launched in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs, Control is a critically acclaimed action-adventure game that follows Jesse Faden, the new director of the mysterious Federal Bureau of Control (FBC). As Jesse, players explore the ever-shifting Oldest House — the headquarters of the secretive U.S. agency that investigates and contains paranormal phenomena — while searching for her missing brother, Dylan.
Control: Ultimate Edition is the definitive release of the game, bundling the original story with its two major expansions, The Foundation and AWE (Altered World Events). While both build on the main narrative, AWE serves as a crossover between Control and Alan Wake, Remedy’s earlier hit about a novelist drawn into a supernatural mystery.
Although Remedy has not yet revealed an exact release date or pricing for the upcoming versions, Control: Ultimate Edition is currently listed at $40 on the Mac App Store.
